Thank you for choosing Rigid Deck Company, LLC for your decking project. We are proud to stand behind the quality of our work. This document outlines the terms and conditions of the 2-Year Labor Warranty we provide for all decks we build.

Coverage

This 2-Year Labor Warranty covers labor-related defects or issues arising from the installation of your deck, including but not limited to:

  • Improper fastening of decking boards.
  • Misalignment or instability of structural components.
  • Faulty installation of railing systems.
  • Improper installation of flashing or waterproofing.

The warranty applies solely to work performed by Rigid Deck Company, LLC.

Warranty Period

The warranty is valid for 2 years from the date of project completion, as noted on your final invoice or completion documentation.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  1. Material Defects: Any defects or issues related to the decking materials, fasteners, or other products used. These are subject to the manufacturer’s warranty.
  2. Normal Wear and Tear: Fading, scratches, weathering, or other changes resulting from normal use and exposure to the elements.
  3. Improper Use or Modifications: Damage caused by misuse, overloading, alterations, or repairs made by anyone other than Rigid Deck Company, LLC.
  4. Acts of Nature: Damage caused by extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, or other forces beyond our control.
  5. Foundation or Ground Movement: Issues caused by soil settling, erosion, or improper site preparation not performed by Rigid Deck Company, LLC.

Homeowner Responsibilities

To maintain the warranty, the homeowner must:

  • Properly maintain the deck, including cleaning and resealing (if applicable) according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Avoid alterations or modifications to the deck without prior approval from Rigid Deck Company, LLC.

Filing a Warranty Claim

To make a warranty claim, the homeowner must:

  1. Contact Rigid Deck Company, LLC at 636-585-0125 or email hello @ rigiddecks.com within 30 days of noticing the issue.
  2. Provide proof of purchase and details of the defect or issue, including photos if possible.
  3. Allow Rigid Deck Company, LLC reasonable access to inspect and assess the issue.

Resolution

If the claim is approved, Rigid Deck Company, LLC will:

  • Repair the defect at no cost to the homeowner.
  • If repairs are not feasible, determine an appropriate resolution, which may include partial or full replacement of affected components.

Rigid Deck Company, LLC reserves the right to use comparable materials for repairs or replacements if the original materials are no longer available.

Limitation of Liability

Rigid Deck Company, LLC’s liability is limited to the labor and workmanship associated with the deck installation. We are not responsible for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages resulting from defects.

Transferability

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original homeowner listed on the project contract.

Additional Terms

This warranty is provided in addition to any rights you may have under applicable state or federal law.
